After 16 years teaching mathematics and computing to students up
to Advanced Level (now called A2) I moved, in 1990, into the world of commercial IT developing relational databases and training end users. From 1992 my specialist area has been the key elements of the Microsoft Office suite: Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, together with Microsoft Project. As well as delivering courses and setting up systems for users I have also prepared and evaluated client specific Training Needs Analysis for Microsoft Office products and for the ECDL.
In addition to being a qualified teacher I hold the Advanced ECDL for databases (Access) and spreadsheets (Excel). I tutored the Open University course M150 'Data, Computing and Information', now withdrawn, for six years. I also have experience of creating and modifying reports using the school administration package SIMS.
After 20 years of working primarily in London I am now focussing on providing training and support to clients in the Gravesham area. |
